Angelique Benicio

Angelique is an illustrator, painter and sculptor with experience in both the United States and in Europe. Angelique has extensive experience in many areas of visual arts, both large and small scale. Surface mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, pen and ink, Chinese lacquer and mixed medium patina effects for cinema decor. Sculptural mediums include bronze casting and finishing, ceramic, mold making and production casting and polyurethane sculpture. Angelique's special skills include character development and an ability to accurately produce three dimensional sculptural models of any two dimensional character rendering. Also, she is well versed in Adobe Photoshop.

Angelique spent five years in Paris working in cinema set production as a freelance sculptor and painter (Les Versailles, Europa Corp., Hugo Films, Les Films Manuel Munz, C. Flechner Films and Penninsula Films) under the direction of Big Boing.

Angelique's U.S. experience includes illustrating a middle grade novel, Sarah's Waterfall (Safer Society Press) which won the 2009 Skipping Stones Honor Award in the Teaching and Parenting Resources category. Angelique's illustration has also been used for puzzles and posters (Portal Publications, American Puzzle Factory and Master Pieces). During Angelique's stay in France she also worked as a freelance illustrator for the children's magazines Oui Oui, Le Monde d' Henri Dès, and Heidi under the direction of Cobra SAS, Neuilly Sur Seine.
